Intro to SBT FSI Siemens Fire Alarm Systems Integration
The SBT FSI (Siemens Building Technologies – Foreign Systems Interface) Driver is used to communicate with most Siemens Fire Alarm Systems. The driver can be used to poll a Siemens Fire Safety MXL or XLS system or to emulate a Siemens Fire Safety MXL or XLS system with attached modules. Either configuration supports remote monitoring as well as selected command and control functions.
The SBT FSI driver supports most product lines if you have addressable Fire Alarm Systems such as Desigo Fire Safety, Cereberus PRO and FireFinder XLS; Conventional Fire Systems such as TXR-320 and SXL; or a Legacy Fire Systems such as MXL and System 3 that you need to integrate, give us a call.
The SBT FSI QuickServer (QS) is a high-performance, fully configurable, and cost-effective protocol gateway for integrating many Siemens SBT FSI System.
The Gateway comes enhanced (500 points) and connects to RS232 ports. Chipkin knows this protocol to source code level. We offer expert support (Level 1,2) and configuration from day 1.
The Dual Ethernet Port QuickServer is the premium secure QuickServer for those needing the best and most secure networks. Besides being capable of handling everything that the classic QuickServer and the QuickServer can handle, it also contains 2 Ethernet ports, can convert up to 10,000 points and has a lot of new security features. Description of the SBT FSI Driver
The SBT-FSI (Siemens Building Technologies – Foreign Systems Interface) driver allows the FieldServer to transfer data to and from Siemens MXL/XLS devices (NIM-1R1 or NIM-1W or RPM2 ) over either RS232 or RS-485 using MXL/XLS to foreign system protocol. The FieldServer can emulate either a Server or a Client. Note that the Driver does not support MXL and XLS panels networked together.
