Red Lion PAX Meters and PID Controllers communicate using the Modbus RTU Serial communication Protocol. Chipkin offers multiple solutions that will allow you to integrate these devices to your BACnet Networks.

The Chipkin Modbus RTU Gateway is a protocol Gateway that converts data from Modbus RTU and makes it available to devices that support a different protocol e.g. BACnet IP to BACnet MSTP, Modbus TCP, HTTP etc.
Chipkin provides both Hardware versions and Soft versions of our Gateways. Our software Gateways runs on any compatible version of windows allowing you to select your own computer of any format for the conversion or you can run them on a server.

The Classic QuickServer (FS-QS-1XXX) and Upgraded QuickServer (FS-QS-2XXX) are a family of high-performance, fully configurable, and cost-effective building and industrial automation protocol gateways. They are designed for integrators to easily interface devices to networks in commercial buildings, campuses, and industrial facilities.
There are six standard models that come in basic (250 points) or enhanced (500-5000 points) and can connect to serial (RS485 and RS232), Ethernet, and/or LonWorks as well as KNX and M-Bus
